PhotoDeck for Apple TV

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how n5 Interactive handles information when you use PhotoDeck.

Last updated: September 5, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to PhotoDeck, an Apple TV application developed by n5 Interactive. PhotoDeck is currently in development and uses mock content while Google Photos Ambient API production access is pending. When the Google Photos integration becomes available, the practices described below will apply to that integration.

2. Information PhotoDeck accesses

When you choose to connect Google Photos, PhotoDeck will use Google OAuth 2.0 and the Google Photos Ambient API to access only the information needed to provide the slideshow experience:

  • Basic Google profile information used to identify the connected account in Settings.
  • Photos and videos from the Google Photos sources you select for the connected display.
  • Technical identifiers supplied by Google, such as an ambient-device identifier and OAuth authorization tokens.

PhotoDeck does not receive or store your Google password.

3. How information is used

Google user data is used only to connect the app, identify the connected account, retrieve the content you selected, and display that content on your Apple TV. It is not used for advertising, marketing profiles, credit decisions, surveillance, or training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

PhotoDeck’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. Storage and retention

OAuth credentials and the Google-provided device identifier are designed to be stored locally on your Apple TV using Apple’s protected credential storage. They are retained only while the connection is active. Media may be held temporarily in memory or operating-system caches as necessary for playback; PhotoDeck is not designed to create a permanent library of your Google Photos content.

Disconnecting Google Photos removes locally stored authorization credentials. Removing the app also removes its locally stored application data, subject to the normal behavior of tvOS.

5. Sharing and disclosure

n5 Interactive does not sell, rent, or trade Google user data or Google Photos content. The app is designed to communicate directly with Google services to provide the requested functionality. We may disclose information only when required by law, necessary to protect users or the service, or with your explicit consent.

6. Security

PhotoDeck is designed to use encrypted HTTPS connections for communication with Google services and protected on-device storage for authorization credentials. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved.

7. Your choices and deletion

You can disconnect Google Photos within PhotoDeck at any time. You can also review or revoke the app’s Google Account access from your Google Account permissions. To ask a privacy question or request help with deletion, contact us at info@n5interactive.com.

8. Children’s privacy

PhotoDeck is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will always be posted on this page.
